On Sunday 08 November 2015, Kisma Jordan was named the first prize winner of the fifth annual Mildred Miller International Voice Competition. Congratulations to Kisma and all the semi- and finalists from this year's event. 

WQED-FM's Jim Cunningham hosted the competition finals, held at the lovely auditorium at The Frick Art & Historical Center on Sunday 08 November 2015. From an initial pool of 142 singers, an esteemed panel of judges (Mildred Miller Posvar, Robert Chafin, Marianne Cornetti, Robert Croan, Eugene Perry, and Maria Spacagna) selected 20 semi-finalists who sang on Saturday 07 November. Eight singers continued as finalists to sing on the Sunday program, with the following results:

The Mildred Miller International Voice Competition is part of OPERA America's National Opera Week.

 

Performance Venues

SummerFest performances take place on the Shadyside campus of Winchester Thurston School, either in the Falk Auditorium (all mainstage productions) or the Hilda Willis Room (Little Red Riding Hood and Night Caps).
